Colleen Russo

Colleen grew up in an Irish Catholic family where each member was expected to share their time and talents. Compassion and acts of benevolence were not just encouraged…they were expected. Both of Colleen's parents were recognized for their many charitable acts and contributions made to their church and local community. Such acts were often focused on assisting those persons suffering from a disability or medical problem. Their efforts even included the establishment of a private school bus company for the daily transport of disabled children for attendance at life-skill instructional sessions. Colleen's parents proved to be valuable role models. Though their example, she learned the rewards that often come from helping people in less fortunate circumstances.

Colleen Russo has spent much of her life addressing the needs of others. In addition to being a successful advocate for the disabled, she has also actively worked to improve the standard of living for persons living in the Tampa Bay area. The St. Petersburg Times recognized her as one of Tampa Bay's "movers and shakers" who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to her community. The newspaper listed Colleen among a handful of other local citizens credited with making a real difference in "getting the job done." Colleen's dedication to helping others in need is quickly apparent in her zealous efforts to secure Social Security Disability awards for her clients. She takes enormous pride in helping her clients achieve financial security so as to establish the dignity and respect that they deserve.
